On October 25th, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao held a video meeting with Executive Vice President and Trade Commissioner of the European Union Dombrovskis at the appointment, and had a professional, pragmatic, candid and constructive exchange on the European Union's anti-subsidy case against China's electric vehicles. The two sides reviewed the progress of the previous stage of consultation, reaffirmed the political will to resolve differences through dialogue, made it clear that the price commitment will continue to be the solution to this case, and provided guidance on the direction of the next consultation. Wang Wentao stressed that the next stage of price commitment consultations should be conducted on the basis of mutual accommodation of core concerns and in accordance with the principle of "pragmatism and balance", taking into account the effectiveness of the agreement and the core interests of enterprises; on the basis of mutual trust, a bilateral communication mechanism for the implementation and supervision of price commitments should be established.
