Citibank terminates Ripple CEO Garlinghouse's personal banking business

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said in Washington that Citibank terminated his personal banking business because of his popularity in the crypto space, saying he was experiencing a trend of "de-banking". He criticized the Biden administration's regulatory policies, arguing that the industry is under tremendous pressure, but is optimistic about future crypto policies and believes there will be a reset. He suggested that crypto startups should register outside the United States to avoid regulatory uncertainty.
