On October 18, Sheng Laiyun, deputy director of the National Bureau of Statistics, said at a press conference of the State Council Information Office that there are new changes in China's population structure, one of which is that the number of labor-age people aged 16-59 is decreasing. From 2013 to last year, during the past ten years, the average number of labor resources aged 16-59 has decreased by about 500-6 million, and last year it decreased by about 10 million. In this way, it will affect the supply and demand relationship in the overall labor market. So demand is increasing and supply is declining. In this way, the total employment situation is relatively stable. This is an internal support for the overall stability of our national surveyed unemployment rate, including our employment situation. From the perspective of the future situation, I think this situation will continue to play a role. Therefore, although our total employment is under pressure, the support foundation for maintaining overall stability is solid.
