The General Staff of the North Korean People's Army has issued an operational preparation instruction on October 12, requiring the front-line artillery joint unit of the North Korean People's Army and the unit that undertakes important firepower tasks to be ready for all-round firing. If it is confirmed that the South Korean side provokes again, it must be struck immediately, which may lead to the expansion of armed conflict, and units at all levels must be fully prepared to deal with different developments." The North Korean Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the evening of October 11, condemning the South Korean drone carrying anti-North Korean leaflets for violating the airspace of the North Korean capital Pyongyang, calling it a serious crime. The South Korean Defense Ministry immediately said that the South Korean military did not launch drones at North Korea.
