On April 7th, the Israeli Defense Forces withdrew all ground forces from the southern Gaza Strip overnight after four months of fighting in the Khan Younis area. Currently, only the Nahal Brigade remains in the Gaza Strip. The mission of the Nahal Brigade is to ensure the safety of the so-called Netzarim Corridor, which runs from the Be'eri area in southern Israel through Gaza and extends all the way to the coast of the Gaza Strip. This corridor enables the Israeli Defense Forces to take action in northern and central Gaza, preventing Palestinians from returning to the north and allowing humanitarian organizations to directly deliver aid to the north.
