International oil prices rose by more than 3%.

On October 8th, as of the close of the day on the 7th, the light crude oil futures price for November delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose by $2.76 to close at $77.14 per barrel, an increase of 3.71%; the London Brent crude oil futures price for December delivery rose by $2.88 to close at $80.93 per barrel, an increase of 3.69%.
