Ministry of Commerce: From January to July, the national online retail sales 8.38 trillion yuan, an increase of 9.5%

On August 22nd, the person in charge of the E-commerce Department of the Ministry of Commerce introduced the development of e-commerce in our country from January to July 2024. From January to July, online retail promoted steady growth in consumption, platform enterprises accelerated technological and business model innovation, e-commerce promoted industrial digital transformation and upgrading, and international cooperation in the field of e-commerce achieved mutual benefit and win-win results. New momentum of online consumption continued to gather. From January to July, according to the National Bureau of Statistics, the national online retail sales 8.38 trillion yuan, an increase of 9.5%. Among them, the online retail sales of physical goods 7.01 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.7%, accounting for 25.6% of the total social zero.
