On July 31st, on July 30th, "Pinduoduo's platform Temu angered sellers" was listed on Weibo's trending topic list. A video of hundreds of Pinduoduo's cross-border e-commerce platform (Temu) merchants going to Temu's Guangzhou headquarters to protect their rights recently appeared on social media. The merchants said that they were fined and deducted "after-sales reserve fees" by the Temu platform due to after-sales problems. The amount ranged from tens of thousands to several million yuan. The merchants had no way to appeal. On July 22nd and July 29th, they "spontaneously" went to Guangzhou to protect their rights. On the evening of July 30th, Pinduoduo responded: "The platform will not earn the money of merchants' fines for violations of regulations, and the fines will also be paid to consumers." An insider at Pinduoduo revealed that there were actually only a dozen "troublesome" merchants in this so-called "rights protection" incident, and many other people at the scene were "people found" by these merchants.
