Vitalik: The electric vehicle industry relies on software updates and needs to adopt more open-source models

Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, said at X that the automotive industry does need to adopt more open-source models because cars can become useless when automakers no longer exist, which is particularly prominent in the electric vehicle (EV) space because they rely more on software updates.
