The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress authorizes the State Council to temporarily adjust the application of the relevant provisions of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China in the Hainan Free Trade Port

On June 28, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress decided to authorize the State Council to temporarily adjust the application of the relevant provisions of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China in the Hainan Free Trade Port. In order to support Hainan's comprehensive deepening of reform and opening up and promote the implementation of the Hainan Free Trade Port policy, the 10th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress decided: Authorize the State Council to temporarily adjust the application of the relevant provisions of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China in the Hainan Free Trade Port (catalogue attached) for a period of five years, counting from the date of implementation of this decision. This decision shall come into force on October 1, 2024.
