The upgrade of dYdX Chain protocol software to v5.0 has been approved by the community

The dYdX Foundation said on the X platform that the dYdX community voted in favor of upgrading the dYdX Chain protocol software to v5.0, with a turnout of 90%, of which 98.5% voted in favor. The software upgrade will be performed at block 17,560,000. The block is expected to be generated at 23:16 UTC on June 6, Beijing time (based on a block time of 1.009 seconds). Validators are encouraged to prepare accordingly for this upgrade, including running Slinky sidecar v0.4.6 or newer.
Yesterday's news, dYdX CEO stated that dYdX Chain software will support derivatives of any asset, and the first step in this regard will be revealed in the upcoming 5.0 release, which includes the unveiling of a new sovereign oracle architecture provided by Skip Protocol partners.
