China responds to the speech of the US Defense Minister: behind the flowery rhetoric of "Indo-Pacific strategy" is hegemony

On June 1st, US Secretary of Defense Austin used the Shangri-La Dialogue as a US "show" and talked about "Indo-Pacific strategy". The Chinese side said that the US "Indo-Pacific strategy" is full of flowery rhetoric and under the banner of promoting regional cooperation, but in fact it adheres to the Cold War mentality and zero-sum game, and engages in closed and exclusive "clubs". The real purpose is to integrate "small circles" into the big circle of NATO in the Asia-Pacific version, so as to maintain the hegemonic position dominated by the United States. The Chinese side said that this strategy is essentially a strategy to create division, combat confrontation, and destabilize. It is completely against the trend of history and goes against the common will of regional countries to seek peace, development, cooperation, and win-win services.
