Gold Ten Futures, May 21, Australia's South32 company released a document on its official website saying: < br > 1. The Samancor joint venture company has approved a recovery plan for the operation of Groote Eylandt Mining Company Limited (GEMCO). In order to build stocks before the 2024/2025 rainy season, GEMCO will resume mining activities in phases from June. When mining activities resume, they are expected to be restricted as drainage and other recovery-related activities are underway. < br > 2. Due to the impact caused by Tropical Cyclone Megan, including mine flooding, major damage to the terminal and port infrastructure, and the transport road bridge connecting the northern mine pit and processing plant in the western mining area, GEMCO's operations were suspended in March. The resumption of operations to date has been focused on re-establishing critical services and draining the target pit. < br > 3. Based on our preliminary timeline estimates, it is expected that terminal operations and export sales will be restarted in the third quarter of fiscal year 2025 (Quarter 1, 2025). < br > 4. The phased resumption of mining activities will not change our timing expectations in this regard. We are evaluating alternative shipping options to mitigate the impact of terminal disruptions. These options may establish partial ore export capacity before the terminal resumes. < br > < img src = "https://flash-scdn.jin10.com/3f81ea4e-10bd-4b45-8100-b2f5f692df78.png" referrerpolicy = "no-referrer" >
