Singaporean crypto practitioners were robbed by armed robbery, more than 4.30 million SGD

On May 2, according to the "Lianhe Zaobao" report, the Singapore police received a notification at 02:00 am on April 18 that an armed robbery occurred in a residential unit in King Albert Park, Bukit Timah. 11 victims aged 25 to 45 (suspected Chinese currency circle) were robbed by at least four men and robbed of various valuables, including Singapore and foreign currencies, cryptocurrencies and luxury brand watches, with a total value of about 4.34 million yuan (about 3.1931 million US dollars).
Following a follow-up investigation, the Criminal Investigation Department of Singapore and Clementi Police confirmed the identity of the men involved and found that they had absconded to Malaysia shortly after the police received a report. With the cooperation of the Royal Malaysian Police, two men, aged 28 and 32, were arrested in Malaysia on April 27 and 28 and extradited to Singapore on April 30. The other suspects are still being pursued. Under the Singapore Criminal Code, if convicted of armed robbery, they can be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison and 24 strokes of the cane.
