On April 30, Gan Yu, a spokesperson for the Chinese Coast Guard, said that on April 30, Philippine Coast Guard vessels 4410 and 3004 persisted in invading the waters adjacent to China's Huangyan Island, despite China's repeated discouragement and warnings. The Chinese Coast Guard took necessary measures such as outside supervision, water cannon warning, and interdiction control in accordance with the law to drive away the Philippine vessels that illegally invaded, and the on-site operation was professional, standardized, and legitimate. The Philippines' actions violated China's sovereignty and seriously violated international law and basic norms of international relations. We urge the Philippines to immediately stop the infringement. China has indisputable sovereignty over Huangyan Island and its adjacent waters, and has sovereign rights and jurisdiction over the relevant waters. The Chinese Coast Guard will continue to carry out rights protection and law enforcement activities in the waters under China's jurisdiction in accordance with the law, and resolutely safeguard the country's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
