Gold ten futures on April 29th, Luo Tiejun, vice president of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, said at the fourth council (expansion) meeting of the eighth session of the China Mining Association that from the perspective of total iron ore demand, although the apparent consumption of crude steel in China has continued to decline in recent years, it is still at the scale level of more than 900 million tons. In the future, China's steel demand will remain high. 27% of the planned new steelmaking capacity is electric furnace, with a total of about 110 million tons. It is expected that the proportion of electric furnace steel production in China will reach 30% in 2035. However, the long-process production of blast furnace-converter in China's steel industry will still be in the main process for a long time, and the demand for iron ore will remain at a high level. In the next step, the Steel Association will continue to cooperate with the National Development and Reform Commission and other relevant ministries and commissions to organize the industry to do a good job in the implementation of the "Iron Resources Development Plan" and accelerate the development of domestic iron ore resources.
