Speaking on the "Presidio Bitcoin" podcast, Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter and current CEO of Block, said Bitcoin would fail if it became just a store of value, because its success stems from payments. However, due to limited supply, Bitcoin has the potential to become a store of value on par with gold, a view that has led many people to be reluctant to spend their bitcoin because they want the asset's value to continue to grow, but Jack Dorsey pointed out that if Bitcoin does not transition to payments and find everyday use cases, it will eventually deviate from the original intention of the white paper and lead to ultimate failure.
