Internet Society of China: Call on domestic companies to take the initiative to take countermeasures and choose carefully to purchase US chips

On December 3rd, the Internet Society of China issued a statement saying that recently, the United States has further increased restrictions on semiconductor exports to China under the pretext of national security. The United States has frequently adjusted control rules, continued to escalate trade barriers, and ignored international trade rules, which has caused substantial damage to the healthy and stable development of our country's Internet industry. I will express my firm opposition. The United States' practice of generalizing the concept of national security and abusing export control means to unreasonably block and suppress China has shaken the trust and confidence of the industry in American chip products. In order to ensure the security, stability and sustainable development of our country's Internet industry, I will call on domestic enterprises to take the initiative to take countermeasures, prudently choose to purchase American chips, seek to expand cooperation with chip companies in other countries and regions, and actively use domestic and foreign enterprises in China.
