Ministry of Commerce: China will step up the negotiation process with DEPA member states

On November 21st, a ministerial-level meeting between China and the members of the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement (DEPA) was held during the APEC ministerial meeting. Today, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Commerce, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce, He Yongqian, said that all parties have in-depth conferred on the progress made in the negotiations and the next work plan. Under the framework of China's accession to the DEPA working group, China and DEPA members have held 5 ministerial-level meetings, many chief negotiators' meetings and technical consultations. In the next step, China will work with DEPA member states to step up the negotiation process and strive for early results.
