On November 15th, on November 14th, Deputy Representative for International Trade Negotiations of the Ministry of Commerce Li Yulong attended the ministerial-level meeting between China and the members of the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement (DEPA) during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) ministerial meeting in Lima, Peru. China joined the chair of the DEPA working group, Deputy Minister of International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile Sanuesa chaired the meeting, and New Zealand Trade Minister McLay, Singapore Trade Relations Minister Fu Haiyan, and South Korea's Ministry of Industry, Trade and Resources Minister for Trade Negotiation Zheng Renjiao attended the meeting. Li Yulong said that since China joined the DEPA working group and was established, China and the members have continued to carry out close communication at all levels, and the negotiations have made positive progress. China will further take the initiative to integrate DEPA rules and achieve compatibility of rules, regulations, management and standards in e-commerce and other related fields. China is willing to engage in in-depth discussions with member states on key provisions, strive to reach consensus as soon as possible, and look forward to practical cooperation in the field of digital economy. DEPA members spoke positively of China's progress in joining the working group and expressed their willingness to work with China to advance consultations at all levels and promote greater progress in negotiations.
