Margrethe Vestager, executive vice-chairperson of the European Union Commission and competition commissioner, warned that there was a "huge bottleneck" in the supply of artificial intelligence (AI) chips from Nvidia. During her trip to Singapore, Vestager told the media that European Union regulators were still considering whether and what to do. "We've been asking them questions, but this is just a preliminary move. So far, this doesn't count as regulatory action."
