Michael Heinrich, CEO of 0G Labs, told the Token2049 conference in Singapore that artificial intelligence faces significant risks if it is not integrated with blockchain technology. He highlighted the potential dangers of centralized AI systems and advocated for ensuring transparency through decentralized governance based on blockchain. Heinrich warns: "Suppose the future is full of humanoid robots with AI agents. One day, the model may wake up and think: Can I use this to overthrow the governme...
Michael Heinrich, chief executive of 0G Labs, said artificial intelligence (AI) seemed destined to become the core of everyday digital applications and services, and anchoring AI models on public blockchains could help "establish permanent provenance tracing". Such provenance tracing, Heinrich said, could enable "post-mortem or real-time monitoring analytics" to detect any tampering, bias injection or use of problematic data during AI model training.
