Members of the U.S. House of Representatives voted in favor of legislation to establish a working group to study the illicit use of digital assets. The House majority approved the Fintech Protection Act by voice vote. The bill, introduced by Rep. Zach Nunn and Jim Himes in April 2023, seeks to address how "rogue states and foreign nations" use cryptocurrencies to evade regulation by having members of multiple federal agencies coordinate their efforts.
