MIIT Preparation Industry Division 1 Guo Shougang: Intelligent networked vehicle access and road access pilots will soon enter the testing and evaluation process, and those who pass will be granted access permits

On October 18, Guo Shougang, deputy director and first-level inspector of the Equipment Industry Division of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at the 2024 World Networked Car Conference today that MIIT has carried out the pilot work of intelligent networked car access and road access in conjunction with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the Ministry of Transport. Nine consortia that have entered the pilot have been identified in the early stage, and the industrial testing and security evaluation of the pilot consortium are currently being carried out. The test plan of some conditional autonomous driving models has been confirmed, and they will soon enter the test and evaluation process. Those who pass will be granted access permits according to the procedures.
