French President Emmanuel Macron: Telegram CEO Pavel Durov arrested in connection with judicial investigation

French President Emmanuel Macron said the arrest of Pavel Durov, chief executive of social platform Telegram, was not politically motivated in connection with a judicial investigation. A police spokesperson said Pavel Durov was accused of failing to co-operate on online and financial crimes on the platform.
