Israel launched around 40 airstrikes in southern Lebanon

On August 25, Lebanese media reported that Israel launched about 40 airstrikes in southern Lebanon. Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces said it was preemptively striking Hezbollah targets after signs of an imminent large-scale attack. The IDF ordered residents of all northern border communities and Golan Heights towns to stay near air-raid shelters and avoid unnecessary activities and gatherings in case of possible Hezbollah attacks. Agricultural work in the area has also been halted.
