International monetary fund and El Salvador discuss bitcoin risk management strategy

The international monetary fund (IMF) has discussed strategies with the government of El Salvador to reduce fiscal and financial stability risks associated with bitcoin, and the IMF said it has discussed policies with El Salvador to stabilize its public debt, including a proposal to regulate bitcoin as legal tender in the country.
