China donates to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in the Near East

On August 2, the Chinese Office in Palestine signed a donation agreement with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) on August 1. Zeng Jixin, director of the Chinese Office in Palestine, said that China has always supported the Agency's active performance of its duties and called on the international community to support the Agency's work. The donation is aimed at supporting the Agency's emergency humanitarian assistance to Gaza. China will continue to work with the international community to make unremitting efforts to quell the war in Gaza at an early date, ease the humanitarian disaster and implement the "two-state solution".
