Peng Jinlong, chairperson of the Taiwan Financial Management Commission of China, announced that the draft of the virtual asset special law will be sent to the Executive Yuan before June next year, which means that virtual currencies, including bitcoin, are determined to be specially regulated. For traditional Financial Institution Groups, virtual assets should be legalized. Those who do not want to miss market opportunities have already taken active actions.
Yang Yue Ping, an associate professor at the National Taiwan University School of Law, said that the FSC decided to formulate a special law on virtual assets, and should also open up the traditional Financial Institutions Group to invest in virtual assets business at the same time. After all, traditional financial investment is good for the development of the virtual assets industry. From the perspective of the FSC, there are people who understand the law and abide by the law in this industry, and they can also help to comply with the law.
