Sam Altman Announces: OpenAI Co-Founder Sutskever Leaves Jakub Pachocki to Take Over

OpenAI founder and CEO Sam Altman tweeted that OpenAI co-founder and chief scientist Ilya Sutskever will be leaving. "Without Sutskever, OpenAI would not be where it is today," Altman said. "Although he has some personally significant things to do, I am forever grateful for what he has done here and is committed to the mission we started together." Altman said Jakub Pachocki, who will succeed Sutskever as OpenAI chief scientist, is very confident that Jakub will lead OpenAI to fast, safe progress towards its mission of ensuring that AGI benefits everyone.
