HSBC Holdings: Group CEO Qi Yaonian will step down

On April 30th, HSBC Holdings (00005.HK) Hong Kong Stock Exchange announced today that the Group Chief Executive Officer, John Keith, has informed the Board of Directors of his intention to retire from the company after nearly five years in this position. The Board has officially started the succession process and will consider internal and external candidates. During this period, Mr. Keith will continue to serve as the Group Chief Executive Officer to ensure a smooth and orderly transition.
