CiberInteligenciaSV, a hacking group, posted parts of the source code for Chivo, a Salvadoran state-run bitcoin wallet, on BreachForums, a black hat crime forum. "This time I bring you the code inside the ATM of the Salvadoran bitcoin Chivo wallet, remember, this is a government wallet, everyone knows it, we don't sell it, we release everything for free," the hacking group wrote.
The move follows a series of incidents linked to the Chivo hack, including the public exposure of the personal data of 5.10 million Salvadorans - nearly the entire adult population of the country - reported in early April. Salvadoran authorities have not released any official statement related to the hack.
