HKEx: Open to using blockchain and other technologies to solve existing carbon market problems

The use of new technologies such as blockchain could make the tracking of carbon credits more transparent and efficient, and facilitate cross-border transactions, said Chow Guan Eng, chief sustainability director at HKEx Group. Therefore, HKEx is open to using technologies such as blockchain to solve existing carbon market problems.
