Soochow Securities released an analysis report on the approval of Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs in Hong Kong, China. It pointed out that the key factor in determining the inflow of Bitcoin spot ETFs in Hong Kong is whether southbound funds can enter and whether they can attract funds from Asian regions such as Japan and South Korea. In addition, issuers of virtual asset futures ETFs may face capital outflows. Compared with spot ETFs, futures ETFs are subject to contract renewal and trading procedures. Coupled with the advantages of spot ETFs in terms of liquidity and price tracking capabilities, funds may be transferred from bitcoin futures ETFs to spot ETFs.
