US "Down with Tesla" movement plans "largest protest" on March 29

According to a report in the technology media outlet The Verge, the "Down with Tesla" movement in the United States made a massive call on Wednesday for organizers, filmmakers, members of Congress and other point persons to join forces and hold 500 demonstrations in 277 Tesla (TSLA. O) showrooms and Supercharger stations in the United States on March 29. The "Down with Tesla" movement originated from dissatisfaction with Musk's growing political role, his close relationship with Trump and his government's efficiency department. Since a large part of Musk's net worth is tied to his Tesla shares, members of the "Down with Tesla" movement have taken aim at the electric carmaker. Unfortunately, the protests against Tesla and Musk have become increasingly violent, with Tesla stores being shot and cars being set on fire. Supercharger stations and Tesla owners' cars were also vandalized and set on fire. As such incidents intensified, US President Donald Trump pointed out that he considers such actions to be domestic terrorism. Attorney General Pam Bundy also pointed out that those behind the arson and destruction of Tesla vehicles will be brought to justice. (Jin Ten)
