Singaporean blockchain platform DigitFT will offer a tokenized version of the $6.30 billion Invesco private credit fund. Institutional investors can buy tokenized stakes in the underlying assets of the Invesco fund using US dollars or stablecoins USDC and USDT, DigitFT said in a statement on Wednesday. DigitFT CEO Henry Zhang said the Invesco fund, which invests in the company's senior secured loans, has produced an annualized net return of 4.5% since its inception in 2006. "This is the first and only tokenised private credit fund to offer daily liquidity, and most tokenised private credit funds currently have quarterly or even longer redemption cycles, which makes them less attractive to investors looking for more flexibility," Mr. Zhang said in an interview. DigitFT aims to eventually provide instant settlement for the tokenised version of the Invesco fund, compared with the five-day maximum settlement time required for the underlying fund, Mr. Zhang said.
