On January 27th, Sahara AI announced that it will use DeepSeek-R1 as one of the flagship models of its AI Studio, which will be launched simultaneously with other AI models in Quarter 1 this year. It has also launched an early access program for developers.
DeepSeek was founded in 2023 by Wenfeng Liang, an alumnus of Zhejiang University, along with Sean, chief executive and co-founder of Sahara AI, who went on to study at Stanford and the University of Southern California.
Released by DeepSeek-R1, this 671B-parameter inference expert excels in math, coding, and logic tasks and employs reinforcement learning techniques. Currently, DeepSeek-R1 is ranked 4th in Chatbot Arena and is the only open-source model in the Top 10 (with the exception of DeepSeek-V3). Its open-source release further advances the democratization of cutting-edge AI technologies and is highly aligned with Sahara AI's vision.
