On-chain detective ZachXBT has released an investigation into the alleged $11.10 million Prisma exploit 0x77 (Trung) and the multiple vulnerabilities it was implicated in. On March 28, 2024, the Prisma team observed a series of transactions on the MigrateTroveZap contract, resulting in the loss of 3,257 ETH (~ $11.10 million). Initially, the attackers communicated with the Prisma deployer, claiming it was a white hat attack. However, later that same day, all funds were transferred to Tornado Cash, contradicting previous statements. The exploiter began making excessive demands and demanding a white hat bounty of $3.80 million (34%). This amount is well above the industry standard of 10% and is essentially ripping off the team because the vault does not have enough assets to compensate users.
Through on-chain tracing, PrismaFi exploiter 0x77 has been implicated in the Arcade exploit incident from March 2023, the vulnerability incident on the Pine protocol from February 2024, in addition, the exploiter's address is connected to the deployer address of ModulusProtocol. 0x77 is one of the few followers of the project, strengthening the connection between each incident. Further analysis of the phone number, email and other details of this suspected scammer. As can be seen from their post on X, they have a strong technical background.
