China Securities Supervision Commission issues action plan to promote high-quality development of indexed investment in capital markets

Recently, the China Securities Supervision Commission issued the "Action Plan for Promoting the High-Quality Development of Indexed Investment in Capital Markets". The main goal of the "Action Plan" is to promote the scale and proportion of indexed investment in capital markets to increase significantly, and to accelerate the construction of a new development pattern in which active investment and passive investment in the public fund industry develop synergistically and promote each other; strengthen the asset allocation function of index funds, steadily improve investors' long-term returns, provide more convenient channels for medium and long-term funds to enter the market, help build a "long-term money and long-term investment" ecosystem in capital markets, and strengthen rational and mature medium and long-term investment forces. The "Action Plan" is one of the work measures of the China Securities Supervision Commission on the "Implementation Plan on Promoting Medium and Long-term Funds to Enter the Market". In the next step, the China Securities Supervision Commission will promote the coordinated efforts of all units and departments in the system, continuously optimize the specific institutional arrangements, continuously stimulate the vitality of market institutions, and always strengthen supervision and risk prevention to ensure the implementation of the measures in the Action Plan.
