White House plans to push Oracle and U.S. investors to take over TikTok

On January 26th, according to NPR, US President Donald Trump's administration is in talks with software company Oracle and outside investors to plan to take over the global operations of TikTok. Under the proposed agreement, TikTok parent company ByteDance will retain a minority stake, while Oracle will oversee TikTok algorithms, data collection and software updates. The agreement aims to weaken China's control over TikTok and ensure that US investors hold a majority stake. However, the terms of the agreement are still under negotiation and may change in the future.
