On December 31st, Hong Kong stocks closed half a day earlier today as the last trading day before New Year's Day. Overnight, the three major US stock indexes fell, reflecting the performance of Chinese stocks, the Golden Dragon China Index fell 1.9%. After falling 56 points in two days, the Hang Seng Index fell more than 100 points this morning. The Hang Seng Index opened 38 points lower at 20003 points, then turned around and rebounded, rising 126 points to 20168 points, once rising above the 50-day line. As of the close, the Hang Seng Index closed up 0.29% in early trading and 17.91% in 2024; the Cote Index closed down 0.43% in early trading and closed up 19.05% in 2024. The half-day turnover of the Hang Seng Index was 69.78 billion Hong Kong dollars. On the disk, toy leisure, coal, dairy stocks strengthened, oil and gas stocks, beer stocks performed well; chips, semiconductors, SaaS concept stocks fell, Chinese securities stocks correction. In terms of individual stocks, China Shenhua (01088.HK), Mengniu Dairy (02319.HK) rose more than 3%, Haier Zhijia (06690.HK), Haidilao (06862.HK) rose more than 2.5%; Li Auto (02015.HK) fell more than 4%, SMIC International (00981.HK) fell nearly 2.5%.
