Japan may relax visa requirements for Chinese citizens

On December 4th, according to the "Nihon Keizai Shimbun" website reported on December 4th, the Japanese government has begun to coordinate and relax the visa application conditions for Chinese citizens to go to Japan, and some procedures will be simplified. According to the report, the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, and the relevant provinces and departments such as the Police Agency will hold consultations in the near future to finalize some new measures, including re-examining the documents required to apply for visas. In addition, Japanese Foreign Minister Iwaya Takeshi is considering visiting China this year, when he will discuss visa issues with the Chinese side.
